    Spikes

    12 ounces chocolate chips
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 cup peanuts (salted or unsalted)
    2 cups canned chow mein noodles

    Melt chips in microwave or in top of double boiler. Cool. Add peanuts, raisins and noodles. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper. Let set.

    Variation: butterscotch, vanilla or peanut butter chips. For a pastel effect with vanilla chips, stir in food coloring during melting step.

    Krispies Cookies

    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup light Karo? syrup
    1 cup peanut butter
    2 cups Rice Krispies?

    Bring sugar and syrup to a full boil. Remove from heat, and add peanut butter and Rice Krispies?. Drop by teaspoonsful onto wax paper.

    Easy Cookies

    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup white corn syrup
    2 cups peanut butter
    3 cups corn flakes

    Mix sugar and corn syrup in 4-quart saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is melted and syrup is clear. Stir in peanut butter. Stir in corn flakes. Drop by teaspoonful onto wax paper. Cool.

    Fudgy Cocoa No Bake Treats

    Source: Hershey’s

    2 cups granulated sugar
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1/2 cup milk
    1/3 cup Hershey’s Cocoa
    2/3 cup Reese’s Crunchy Peanut Butter
    3 cups quick cooking rolled oats
    1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    Place piece of wax paper or foil on tray or cookie sheet.

    Combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Remove from heat; cool 1 minute.

    Add peanut butter, oats, peanuts, if desired and vanilla extract; stir to mix well. Quickly drop mixture by heaping teaspoons onto wax paper or foil. Cool completely.

    Store in cool, dry place. Makes about 4 dozen.

    Chinese Noodle Cookies

    12 ounces butterscotch morsels
    12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
    16 ounces dry roasted nuts
    5 ounces Chinese noodles

    Melt butterscotch morsels and chocolate chips together. Mix in remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonsful. Refrigerate until very firm.

    NOTE: You may add 1 cup miniature marshmallows, if desired.

    Praline Cookies

    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup (1 stick) light margarine
    1 (5 ounce) can evaporated skim milk
    10 large marshmallows
    1 cup graham cracker crumbs
    1 cup nuts, chopped

    Combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk in saucepan. Boil for 6 minutes. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs and nuts. Mix until marshmallows are melted. Quickly drop onto wax paper to cool.

    No Bake Special K Cookies

    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup Karo syrup
    1 cup creamy peanut butter
    5 to 6 cups Special K cereal

    Bring sugar and syrup to a rolling boil and remove from heat. Add peanut butter and let melt. Then add 5 to 6 cups of Special K cereal until coated. Drop by teaspoon on wax paper. Let cool.

    Makes about 4 to 5 dozen.
