    Watermelon-Strawberry Slush

    1 cup hulled fresh strawberries
    1 1/2 cups cubed, seeded watermelon
    3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    1 cup ice cubes

    Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into 2 goblets and serve.

    Tomato Slush

    3 cups tomato juice
    4 whole cloves
    1 tablespoon chopped onion
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons lemon juice

    In a saucepan, combine tomato juice, cloves, onion, bay leaves and salt. Simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and cool.

    Stir in the lemon juice. Pour into a shallow pan and freeze until ice crystals form and it is a thick slush. Remove from the freezer and beat with a fork until fluffy.

    Serve in goblets.

    Pineapple-Banana Slush

    1 medium-size ripe banana
    1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
    2 tablespoons honey
    Ice cubes

    Combine first 3 ingredients in container of an electric blender. Add enough ice cubes to measure 3 cups. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

    Strawberry Watermelon Slushies

    2 cups cubed seeded watermelon

    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup lemon juice
    2 cups ice cubes

    Combine the first four ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Gradually add ice, blending until slushy. Serve immediately.

    Yield: 5 cups

    Strawberry Slush

    Perfect for summer!

    Mix and set aside:

    4 1/2 cups boiling water
    2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry Jell-O

    Boil together:

    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 cups water

    Add:
    3 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries
    1 (46 ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice
    1 (16 ounce) can frozen lemonade

    Add 3 cups vodka or to taste. Freeze. Makes a little over an ice cream pail.

    To serve, scoop into glass and add 7-Up.

    Fruit Slush Mix

    4 cups granulated sugar
    1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
    1 (46 ounce) can pineapple juice
    4 cups water
    1/2 cup lemon juice

    Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved.Add orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. Fill 6 or 7 ice cube trays with mixture. Freeze until firm. Remove cubes from freezer trays and store in plastic bags. Use within 6 months. Makes about 100 small cubes.

    Variation: Add 5 to 6 mashed bananas to mixture before freezing.

    Fruit Slush: Fill a glass with Fruit Slush Mix cubes. Add ginger ale to cover. Let stand 15 minutes and stir and serve.

    Kool-Aid Slushy

    1 envelope unsweetened Kool-Aid
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup water
    7 cups milk

    Dissolve soft drink mix and sugar completely in water. Stir into milk in nonmetal pitcher. Serve at once or chill and stir before serving (or beat with rotary beater until blended and foamy, about 1 minute and serve at once). Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

    Makes about 2 quarts or 8 servings.
